Dave Asprey puported that to hock his “upgraded” coffee beans. Here is an interview on the Joe Rogan Podcast with Dr. Rhonda Patrick, a biochemist who specializes in how foods and nutrients affect the body. She disproves the mold myth. Cheers

Green tea does have weight loss benefits as well.

It’s about 8-10 fluid ounces.

I wonder if there is something to this. I was not sugar free then, and it was lightly sweetened, even.

Thanks for the additional article. I do think more data is needed.

Hi, according to the study at https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11095-014-1526-9 the effect of CGA in already obese mice seems to be the same as in the one you linked: CGA does not reduce body weight or fat and does not improve any metabolic syndrome related parameters. For non-obese mice with a high-fat diet the CGA appears to protect against diabetes related issues and obesety. They differ in the amount of CGA administerd though, so I don’t know if they are really comparable.
There are more studies attributing increased insulin sensitivity to CGA, so I guess the question is still not sufficiently answered.
I found the publication I linked (and others) on Google scholar, keywords: CGA cholesterol fat

I probably should have noted the Australian study which is found here. Am updating the post now.
