my employer started using an essential oil diffuser in the office a few months ago. He often runs it for 5 to 8 hours per day.The smell irritates my eyes, nose and throat. I developed a cough that would not go away. My throat became so swollen that I could not speak and had difficulty swallowing and breathing. My doctor found no infection and treated me with steroids for the inflamation and Asthma medicine to open my airways. After 30 days of treatment, my Dr suggested that it was the essential oils. I spoke with my boss and he agreed to stop using the machine. He stopped using it for a few weeks and I was well again. He just started using again and I’m getting sick again. He refuses to stop.Any suggestions?
