Hi I have greys to cover up but my hair is a medium red ,(auburn). How can I cover those grey hairs with red without hem turning a bright red so that they blend well with he rest of my auburn hair . The greys come out more bright and do not look right. Could I possibly be the roots a light or medium brown and hen do red afterwards?

In reply to Liz. I recomend you if you have a darker hair, dye with the two steps method using indigo powder.

In reply to Liz. It's best to just use a paint brush (with no metal) to brush on only the white areas. Then wrap up in plastic and allow sit sit for a couple hours. Using heat either with a hair dryer or heat cap helps the henna set better as well.

I have hair to the middle of my back and about 4 inches of white/grey hair new growth right now. I had to take a break from dying my hair due to noticing some hair loss. What is the best way to get even coverage on the 4 inches of white hair to the rest that is a dark brown?

In reply to Lori Botuchis. The only thing I've noticed is there is a red tint typically seen in natural light. But, it's something that I like about henna.

Thank you for the information. A lot of helpful advice was not found elsewhere. I tried the copper hair dye in an already made formula. I left it on for an hour and 40 minutes. It came out nice. I would have liked more coverage for the grays. I will try the powder next time.

Hi,
I newly used henna dye. I mixed the dry powder with coffee except indigo. On 2 occasions my hair scalp areas turns bright red. Can I know what is the cause of it. Your kind advise will be very much appreciated.
