You extend the fast by not eating so many hours before you sleep and so many hours after you wake up. I used to work 12 hour night shifts and did intermittent fasting successfully while on nights.

No. The 5-2 plan means only doing the reduced eating on two days and eating regular for 5 days. However, we feel those days should also be low carb for the maximum benefit.

Ship breakfast~only 2 cups coffe preferably black but definitely no sugar. Eat between noon and 8 PM. Low carb diet. Wheat free is even better. Not gluten-free because rice powder and potato powder (fillers) have a higher glycaemic index then sugar. Basically fat protein and vegetables. The wait will fall off. Investigate home made bone broth only if you plateau. If you eat all of your meal within a one hour. You will quickly resume ketogenesis.
