It tough for a lot of people to do a 24 hour fast. Many find it easier to extend the daily fast. The best option is the one that works for the individual.

More specifically I mean that you should consider transitioning to doing a 24 hour fast, much easier if already on a low carb diet, once or twice per week if trying to lose weight. The reason being that a 24 hour IF can be easier on your body plus help to keep your metabolism from down regulating like a daily calorie restriction will do. You can cut the same number of calories over a week with two 24 hour fasts as you can with daily calorie restriction and it will be easier because you are only having to deal with the restriction twice per week.
