I find it more effective to keep track of macros in an app like MyFitnessPal. If you don’t, it’s easy to get off track.

Hi Madeleine! It sounds like you are doing everything right with the daily macros. Sometimes, it can be hormones getting in the way which may require some testing to be sure. I always find the last 10 pounds are hardest to come off. I’m 46 and do have to be more careful with what I eat due to hormonal changes at this age. The low carb sweets do have an affect as do fruits and vegetables if I eat too much.

I am eating less than 20 net carbs a day and only 1237 calories a day with macros of 70 to 72 fat around 24 protein and the small remainder is carbs. where am I going wrong that I am not dropping more weight? I am 43 years old had a hysterectomy and my thirties and have about 25 pounds to lose. I have spent years starving myself…I do feel good and actually my brain is having a hard time with the fact I am not gaining while eating this much! Thank you in advance for your reply I enjoy reading your articles and seeing your recipes
