It could be serving size, but for the triple zero vanilla it had 21 grams of total carbs listed on the label for each cup.

I was under the impression that fiber negates carbs, not adds to them. The net carbs in the. strawberry flavored one in my fridge reads, 13g of carbs and 6g of fiber bringng the total net carbs to 7. I’m not sure how the 20g of carbs are being added.

Avoid their yogurts with the separate pouch of nasty stuff. Instead consider just the FAGE plain yogurts add you own berries or whey protein powder.or whatever.
Its true we are no longer counting calories or obsessed about the calories but IMO certain foods can destroy your plans with huge fast floods of calories. At some level calories still do matter so I learned to at least pay attention. I stopped pouring heavy whipping cream onto my yogurts and coffee because it was just to easy to overdo it. It was great to learn about the bacteria possibly consuming many of the sugars. FAGE plain yogut labels claim 5 or 6 grams of carb and active bacteria so wow this can be pretty great. Thanks for this post!

The longer you culture the less sugar it should have so yours does sound very low in carbs.

I’ve been making my own yogurt with half and half for years and have found that after about 36 hours of culturing the yogurt looses the tartness and at 48 hours, my yogurt is without the harsh tartness, is very firm and creamy and is lactose free at this point. Interesting article. My yogurt probably has close to zero carbs.

Yes it does! That’s why the longer you let the yogurt incubate when making it, the more sour it gets.

Plain Greek yogurt typically has about 9g carbs listed on the label. But, the sugar is not even close to that.
