I definitely won’t be buying the product, The liquid sweetener I use in Keto recipes
is the Lakanto Maple Syrup.

My blood glucose spiked to 200 30 minutes after eating the syrup on Keto pancakes.
Beware!
My BS returned to 97 after 2 hours but….I don’t want my BS to spike all.

In reply to Jake. Most (if not all) of the recipes on at LCY have been changed to a newer low carb sweetener that doesn't have the same impact. Allulose is one of the newer options that wasn't available before.

I’m confused, you say you don’t like the IMO syrups “You’re doing yourself a disservice and living in nutritional denial if you think IMO syrup is ok for low carb diets. IMO is a fake fiber and a fake low-carb friendly sweetener” – but I’m on your site and looking for protein bar recipes and your recipe has Vitafibre syrup, which is an IMO syrup, manufactured in Canada and sold in the US.

In reply to TheaMaria. Allulose is based on a similar principle. Studies have shown that allulose doesn't implact insulin. But, the only way to really tell is to use a blood meter to see if the sugar replacement affects you.

Thank you for this article ! I just wish I’d found it BEFORE I bought a bottle of the stuff. I had been looking forward to making a recipe of yours with it. Have you looked into Allulose? Would it possibly be a safe substitute?
