Nutramedix Stevia Lyme Disease Treatment: Effective?

Disclaimer: Although an early study shows stevia may be effective in fighting Lyme Disease, more studies are needed to prove the claim. If you are suffering from Lyme, it’s best to follow the advice of your doctor using proven methods.

Conventional antibiotics are the standard treatment plan for Lyme. However, there is early indication that a Nutramedix stevia Lyme disease treatment may be effective.

Many of us suffer from the bacterial infection of Lyme disease. It is not very difficult to have a small tick land on you and infect you.  This is true particularly if you live near the woods and enjoy being outdoors.

Lyme disease has been spreading across the country. When diagnosed with an infection of the Lyme bacteria, the antibiotic doxycycline is typically prescribed.

If caught early enough, a short term treatment with doxycycline typically clears any related symptoms.

However, many worry that antibiotics may cause harmful effects like leading to more antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

And, in some cases, a Lyme outbreak may not be a new occurrence but a dormant strain coming out. This is because many times Lyme disease never really leaves you entirely.

There may be some natural Lyme disease treatments to help prevent and treat an infection.

Based on a study at the University of New Haven, some doctors are recommending that their patients add a Nutramedix stevia Lyme disease treatment along with the standard prescription of antibiotics.

What makes Lyme disease difficult to treat is the many forms it comes in.

The most common forms are spirochetes, spheroplast (or L-form which lacks a cell wall), round bodies or cyst form (which allows for dormancy and escaping PCR detection), and highly antibiotic-resistant biofilms.

Some forms can be easily treated with one type of antibiotic but not treated with another form. If the less effective antibiotic is used it leaves behind bacteria that may become immune to antibiotics.

These bacteria can then lead to antibiotic-resistant bacteria which are sometime referred to as superbugs. When such bacteria emerge the need for stronger antibiotics comes about.

Stronger antibiotics can then lead to more resistant bacteria and the cycle continues. This is what most people fear when antibiotics are overused.

So how can we naturally fight this disease without causing stronger strains of the bacteria?

The study performed at the University of New Haven using a Nutramedix stevia Lyme disease treatment showed promising results.

Normally, stevia would not be seen as an antimicrobial agent. However, several components contained in the leaf extract have shown antimicrobial properties.

These phytochemicals appear to be able to combat the bacteria when ingested.

What are the components found in stevia that may help fight Lyme disease? Here’s a direct quote from the study:

“The leaf extract of Stevia possesses many phytochemicals, which include austroinullin, β-carotene, dulcoside, nilacin, rebaudi oxides, riboflavin, steviol, stevioside, and tiamin with known antimicrobial properties against many pathogens [40, 42, 43]. The role of these compounds is mainly to protect the plant from microbial infection and adverse environmental conditions [38–43].”

The results of the study show that a Nutramedix stevia Lyme disease treatment was most effective in treating the most antibiotic-resistant forms of Lyme disease.

Conventional antibiotics caused this strain to gain mass and strengthen.

However, the preclinical trial showed Stevia to reduce the mass by 40%

Stevia also proved more effective on all other strains of Lyme versus conventional antibiotics.

Stevia and Lyme Disease

Although studies are still young and sparse, there may be evidence that Stevia could be an alternative to conventional antibiotics.

Stevia is natural and has potential health benefits when consumed. Antibiotics are strong man-made substances that may cause greater harm than good on both the person and the Lyme strains.

More studies are needed to determine the effectiveness of stevia in treating Lyme. And it’s important to note that the brand of stevia used in the study was Nutramedix.

So if you’re battling a bout of Lyme, you may want to add this specific brand of stevia to your treatment plan. Other’s have also claimed that the NutraMedix Burbur Detox product from the same company may help with Lyme Disease too.

But remember, you should always follow the recommendations of your doctor.

And at this time, conventional antibiotic treatment is the standard for treating Lyme disease effectively. However, there may be benefits adding in stevia.
